In her photographic road trip, Anastasia Samoylova shows the Sunshine State of Florida as a shimmering fantasy and subtropical dystopia, marked as much by its deep political divisions as by the effects of the climate crisis. She explores the socio-cultural identity of the world-famous swing state and shows how Florida is emblematic of the polarized present of the USA with its complex past.
