It is often presumed that the City of Munich is organizer of the Long Nights. In Munich, this is not so. Here, a private company stands behind the Long Nights. Founder of the Long Nights was Ralf Gabriel, former CEO of Münchner Kultur GmbH. The first Long Night of Munich Museums took place in 1999, in 2000 the first Long Night of Music. Since then, this cultural highlight has taken place annually in spring and become highly popular. Only in 2020 did we have to cancel due to Covid.

Besides the Long Night of Munich Museum and the Long Night of Music, we also publish the Munich restaurant guide “DelikatEssen.”

Conveying culture – and this means to everyone – that is our mission! We are truly thrilled every year when, for one Saturday night, our entire city and its visitors come out and stream into museums, collections, galleries, churches, and other institutions.
