Robert Steng – “Exhibition Durchblicke” (Perspectives)

Robert Steng transforms wood into geometric illusions that play games with our perceptions. In the reception hall, the perspective and the ideal position of the observer is relevant for each work. The flat but relief-like wall sculptures, which from the front display a three-dimensional motif that seems to protrude into the room, are made of used reclaimed wood that was then recombined and composed by the artist into a trompe-l‘oeil.
