Synagoge Ohel Jakob

A synagogue, literally a place of gathering (for prayer), is of crucial importance to Jewish life. The lecture will explain where the name “Ohel Jakob” comes from, the special architectural features of Munich's main synagogue and the role played by music. The synagogue choir “Schma Kaulenu” (Hebrew: Hear my voice) will give a mini-concert. The Einstein restaurant in the Jewish Community Center will offer kosher delicacies until 11.30 pm.

9, 10.15 pm: concert by the synagogue’s choir under the direction of David Rees (lasts 30 minutes)
