The Museum Villa Stuck is a venue of national and international renown for encountering art of the 19th through the 21st Centuries. Franz von Stuck (1863-1928) was a 34-year-old painter, graphic artist, and sculptor when, in 1897/98, he constructed his extraordinary artist’s villa on the heights above the Isar based on his own blueprints and complete with private residential and representative rooms as well as his artist’s studio. The house is an expression of Franz von Stuck’s entire life’s work in art and is a highlight in the history of artist’s homes.
