Müller’sches Volksbad
Bus stops
GasteigCome to the “Museum Volksbad” and “jump” right in!
The Müller’sches Volksbad is a bathing palace that allows the artistic sentiments and lifestyle from the turn to the 20th century to come alive again. The baths on the Isar have stood open to visitors since 1901. To this very day, they are still maintained exactly as they were in every detail through a great deal of exacting work. “Jewel of Art Nouveau,” architects call it, “the most beautiful Art Nouveau baths in Europe,” say bathing experts, and “temple of bathing delight,” say journalists.
Starting 9 pm, staff from the baths will take visitors on tours through both swimming halls and the Roman-Irish sweat bath. Lasts approx. 20 minutes for each tour, the number of people taking part in each tour is limited, and it can come to waiting times.
End 1 am
During the Long Night of Munich Museums, the baths will not be open for bathing, the visit to the swimming hall in street clothes is permitted. Please note that glass bottles and glass at all are not permitted in the Müller’sches Volksbad.
