Haus der Kunst

For the Long Night, the House of Art will be presenting the exhibition “In anderen Räumen” (Inside Other Spaces) with walkable reconstructions of the environments of eleven female artists from three generations hailing from Asia, Europe and North and South America.

Also, as part of “Toleranzfenster” (Window of Tolerance), Wang Shui will be displaying videos, sculptures, and paintings, developed with the aid of artificial neuronic networks, and recreating with them generative installations that react to their respective environments.

Artist-in-Residence Martino Gamper (born 1971) is designing a series of new chairs, a further development on his celebrated long-term project “100 Chairs in 100 Days.” During the exhibition, the chairs will be reworked by visitors and those working with him – so they can gather, relax, and play.    

At 6.30 pm, 7.30 pm, 8.30 pm, 9.30 pm, 10.30 pm, and 11.30 pm, there will be approx. 30-minute short guided tours through the current exhibitions.
