“Insane” experiences await visitors to the Verkehrszentrum transport museum:

Hall III houses a current special exhibit where it is all about “Wahnsinn!” (Insanity!), meaning the deadly speed rush on our roads and how to stop it. Much more sedate than racecars illegally revving through our streets, but always insanely impressive, is how steam locomotive S3/6 and “Puffing Billy” set themselves into motion during regular demonstrations. And in the coach simulator, you can relive Mozart’s time and get yourself jolted and jostled about – guaranteed to be an insane amount of fun. The same can be said, of course, about a test ride on one of the “crazy” bikes in the inner courtyard.
That the department for overland transport of the Deutsches Museum has already had its home on the Theresienhöhe for 20 years clearly shows how insanely fast time goes by. And it will surely do so again during your nighttime walk through the history, present day, and future of mobility in this museum’s three historic halls.
