Kaori Nakajima NOREN – Soft Borders

Munich-based artist Kaori Nakajima, who was born in Japan, presents “NOREN – Soft Borders,” a series of works exploring themes of transition, protection, and openness. Inspired by the traditional Japanese fabric curtain known as a noren, she creates poetic works from reclaimed textiles, ceramics, and drawings that connect past and present. Visible traces of use and traditional craftsmanship create spaces between inside and outside, intimacy and distance.
